The Omnistar planetarium at Selayang Mall..!!

Special CAD Workshop at Edu Citi-Tel Taiping

28th January 2010: Aerospace Education Services in conjunction with AMD and Koridor Utara had orgranized a special CAD (Computer Aided Design) workshop for primary students at Edu Citi-Tel Taiping, Perak.
30 students from 11-12 years old, participated in the workshop which exposed them to the fundamentals of 3D modeling, animation and game creation. All students who participated seems to enjoy the opportunity to create their own football game and played it.

Centuries-Old Star Mystery Coming to a Close

Life in the inner galaxy would be bombarded by comets

(Dec 22, 2009) We're lucky Earth resides in the Milky Way's suburbs. Intense comet bombardment near the galaxy's center may make it tough for life to gain a foothold there. More than twice as many comets are shaken loose to potentially hit planets at half our distance to the center, according to simulations by Marco Masi of the University of Padua, Italy, and his colleagues.

Russia 'plans to stop asteroid'

(Dec 31, 2009) The head of Russia's federal space agency has said it will work to divert an asteroid (Apophis) which will make several passes near the Earth from 2029. Anatoly Perminov told the Voice of Russia radio service that the agency's science council would hold a closed meeting to discuss the issue. Any eventual plan is likely to be an international collaboration, he said.

Exotic stars may mimic big bang

(Jan 6, 2010) A new class of star may recreate the conditions of the big bang in its incredibly dense core. Neutron stars were once thought to be the densest form of matter that could resist collapsing to become black holes. More recently, physicists have argued that some supernovae may leave behind even denser quark stars. Now, a study led by De-Chang Dai of the State University of New York in Buffalo says the deaths of very massive stars may lead to "electroweak" stars that creep even closer to the black hole limit. Here is a bit explanation on how to DIY for your first anaglyph image. Actually u can find this method from any other web or blog. So im not gonna copy and paste it here... but im gonna show you where you can find it...

Now, the question is how to make your own stereo image. Got it?

After that you need to combine a pair of stereo image to a red-cyan image by using Adobe Photoshop software or any other photo editing tools. Download this in PDF format to see how you can create your own dizzy images.

Wuzzup everybuhdy....

Muving on from the hangar visit we have a regular week happening here. U know classes and all the Aerospace Tour handled by Uncle Sam..
And also Sam in on battle w Moonlight and Starfish litter as they are now poo pooing everywhere but outside the office premises. He was moping and spraying air freshener all over the place and cursing
"bad cat"... "bad cat" all the time.. but we know Sam... u still love them. Just dont give the kitten away if not... i'll
smack ya.. Haha.
Apart from that we have Cameron Trip planned on weekends nex week. I'll be going there so they'll be pretty pictures coming in i promise..

Hangar Visit for ApiiT Kids

Monday 27th April, Aerospace Education organised a visit to the Dnest hangar in Subang Airport. We showed the kids a lot of aircraft and explained about the safety procedures within a hangar. They got to see engineers working on engine maintenance and got a close view of aircraft parts. The highlight of the day was getting inside a real jet aeroplane and getting to see the cockpit...woohooo... We had a fun day!!!

Hellow guys!!

Ola guys... Wuzup everybody, let me introduce myself first. I am Mia, the new Admin Assistant in Aerospace Education Services. Well, like Farquar already told u guys i am actually from planet Z. I had an interest in aerospace, but that was like in ages ago. When i was still in school. And that is about what? 10 000 years back~ And I'd build an interest in aviation in my adult life. So why am i telling u all this again?Nghehe.. What's im telling you is that i am still young and a baby in this arena. Do feel free to correct me in the future,yea? After all life's a lesson to be learned.
Now, back to business babeh, like what my big bosses (Sam and Alan) had told me. We are now enhancing our services level. We're short on Robotics facilitator and there are lots and damn lots of enquiry about robotics classes ie : when's the next semester, when's the class be back, what's the rate etc, so hold on guys. We'll have to keep u in waiting for a while. We'll tell you more about it after we've got our problems settled. Farid!! When are you coming back. O'blimey.. hehe
And there's the usual Aero Adventure Tour and Space Camps being held everyday here. So, be free to come in and check this place out. I especially like the part of the rocket launcher's activity and the hot air balloon fun fly and i sure hope that i might have got the chance to fly in the sky hi programs.. Yippie!! And also ive got to find the time to learn up CAD with Farquar later as he didn't like to teach says he. Ahacks~ Lets hope that i dont have to fill up as the CAD class facilitator or ill be holding the stick and slapping every kids, or making them play games all day, or play w MJ the cat and the 2 cute kittens; Moonlight and Starfish. Alan said y named them that. Just make it short, call 1 moon and 1 fish. Ok uncle Alan, that's their nickname then.
There's planned trip to Hongzhou, China to watch the full eclipse and it is noted: THE LONGEST ECLIPSE of the 21st Century, no joke!! i mean how wicked cool is dat?! Id never had a chance to know all this when i was younger. It'll be so much fun and a great memory to keep as you grew older. Yeah!!~
So it's all i have installed for now. Will tell you more in the future. Grins ;) Later..

2009...

Since June 2008, no one was taking in charge to update this little blog. This blog started from 2006 created by Mr. Farid. Then he got to go back to his university to finish his study. Since then, the blog was abandoned. No news, no snippets, no rumors... nothing at all until we have gordon, andrew and basil (3 students from GIS) who were very enthusiast on aerospace. They were working as part timer for about 3 months. They did a little contribution by posting 1 story on june,26 2008 (that's it???)... hahahaa...

Then, they also moved to the other place (i dont know where are they now.. but hopefully they're still on earth). Until now the website abandoned again. Who gonna update this blog?... Me busy with CAD development and updating website... Farid, even thou he came back here, but he still busy with robotics stuff. Sam?? gimme a break... he doesnt know anything about I.T. Poor Sam.. i think i want to send him back to I.T school.

But, there is still a hope. Our new lovely angel just been hired. Mia, very cheerful and cute girl coming from planet-Z, the only one i hope who can manage this blog. I hope she can give a new look on this blog so that our friends out there will always hunger to get news from us.

The "inspirational" story of three youthful teenagers...

Reporter: On the 17th of June 2008, three students of Garden International School came...

Ok, I won't be that boring... My name is Gordon and I have just completed my eight days of work experience with Aerospace Education Services Sdn Bhd along with my fellow school mates, Andrew and Basil. Work experience is an eight day program organized by our school, Garden International School Kuala Lumpur, in which each student of year 11 (local school form 5) works in a company for a period of eight days, with no restrictions to the choice of company (it can even be overseas). All three of us chose Aerospace Education Services, knowing fully well that we will most probably gain an excellent experience due to the uniqueness of the company. I have been tasked with sharing a little bit about the amazing experience that I've had over here...

And no, it's not an advertising ploy or anything, and we weren't forced to this. Really. We don't even get a cent for the work we do here anyway (we are here on work EXPERIENCE...what do you expect???).

I would first like to point out that working at AES is no walk in the park. Days can be tiring, of which one can expect non-stop "action". Dealing with people you don't know is also another obstacle in one's working life. Any working adult will tell you that dealing with people is probably one of the greatest challenges in the working life due to the complexity of humans.

Nevertheless, the AES offers a flexible working environment, where one is given the freedom of choosing how to approach a task as long as deadlines are met and work is of a high quality. Most tasks are in fact filled with fun and boring is a word that one will rarely, if not never, come across. One of the reasons why this is the case is that tasks are very rarely repeated. Every job given to us is unique and not only does this eliminate the concern of tedious work, but it offers each one of us a new challenge each time.

We would all like to express our immense appreciation to Sam Gibbs and every member of the Aerospace Education Services for helping us gain an invaluable working experience, of which has impacted us and taken us a footstep into the working world.

Congratulations, Sam! You're now officially both an uncle as well as a dad of Octet!!!!

Just a few days ago, Sam became an uncle when a niece was born. His responsibility, however, does not stop there. Octet has become a blessing to him as he now takes responsibility for it. He only received the babies a couple of weeks ago and he was determined to devote his entire morning to his babies (Guess who’s their God father - Advance Micro Devices) and this is their gate keeper.

How could any of you resist the sight of these cool devices? You'd better pay us a visit in order to get your hands on these awesome devices!

Just another day…… (Please la Tambi, it's CREATE...What are you expecting?!)

CREATE started off as another ordinary day with Sam, the boss, sipping some hot, enlightening tea while keeping a close eye on the office boys - Farid, Farquar and Shah - who were carrying out their job. An awkward expression was found on his face when two of his fellow workers, Gangez and Mike, came in late. There, situated beside him, was a lovely angel, Marilyn, glancing at the schedule to find out what to do next. Time passed very quickly, with the workers preparing to go home when all of a sudden...

Sam received an urgent message. Sam yelled, “Everybody, this is not a drill. Battle mode everyone!!!” Sam jumped into the “Cicak caves", and proceeded straight into the mission control room, along with his loyal side kick, "Lava boy". Cicak Man then ordered Lava Boy to “release your power so doom can prevail”. After Lava boy showed off his power in flight, he lit the rocket with the name of “Bumblebee", to stop the ragging hot planet from hitting Earth”.

And once again, the world is saved and Sam can eat chocolates alongside some refreshing tea for breakfast. As for the Lava Shah boy, he never takes breakfast because his shift is at noon.

At the end of the day, the moral to be learnt is that it is tough work in the Aerospace Education Services,

But boredom is something one will never encounter.

August was a fast moving, hectic month for us, of which work began to get very active and vibrant for us. I recently found out about this blog from my boss, and i was thinking that since the night is young why don't I entertain myself by writing a few words for this blog of ours whilst simultaneously fulfilling the need to update the blog! Killing two birds with the same stone ain't such a bad idea after all!

A lot has happened over the past few days, which explains why I've never gone insane out of boredom (Except when Shah and I went to Shazz for "Nasi Kandar", and i was too tired from work to even keep my eye lids open).

Shah is the Operations Manager around here and he can informally be classified as the second person in charge of AES. He's even good at shooting the boss out of the skies (Sorry Sam, no offense yeah?!). We've also got Marilyn (the sole eve around here), who is the company 's accountant. Mike, the handsome guy (who is already taken - I'll try to update his relationship status when there's a change), and Ganges are in charge of the sales department of our campany. Last but not least, Farquar Azman and I (Farid) are still probational workers but Sam has told us not to worry because have been doing fine in our jobs. Our Bombastic Boss is none other than Mr Sam who has recently become an Uncle now with James, his brother, becoming a father - many congratulations to the two of you!

I hope that all of you readers now have a brief image on the background of the Aerospace Education Services' family. Somewhere along the line, I will elaborate in further detail to all of you about us and what we do here both individually and as a whole.
